Welcome to Hershey High School

Hershey High School was built in 1996 and expanded in 2007. The facility is 231,000 square feet, has auditorium seating for 1,300; two CAD labs; classrooms for family and consumer sciences; full gym, weight and cardio exercise rooms; full band and orchestra/chorus rooms; three art rooms; a production office and library/media center.

Extracurriculars and Athletics

Students have multiple opportunities to engage in rigorous learning across subject areas as well as participate in extra-curricular activities. By the time they enter high school, every student has the opportunity to be connected to at least one school activity be it athletics, clubs or music ensembles.

2023 Best Communities for Music Education

We are proud to announce that Derry Township School District has once again been named a Best Communities for Music Education from NAMM foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education!

Anna Gawel Named Pennsylvania’s 2023 Outstanding Assistant Principal

Anna L. Gawel, Assistant Principal of Hershey Elementary School (4th and 5th grades) in the Derry Township School District, has been named Pennsylvania’s 2023 Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year by the Pennsylvania Principals Association. As a state winner in the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) National Outstanding Assistant Principal (NOAP) of the Year Program, Mrs. Gawel is eligible for consideration to be named the NAESP National Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year.

SAT Prep Workshop with image of test and graduation cap

We are once again pleased to offer our SAT Preparatory Instructional Course this fall and winter. These courses are designed to prepare our students for the SAT, as well as the PSAT, due to their similar format. All students will be taught the strategies and skills required to raise their scores significantly. The course will meet once a week for 5 consecutive weeks and will cost $100.

Hershey High School Theatre Presents Clue (High School Edition)

The Fall Play this year is Clue: On Stage (High School Edition). On a dark and stormy night, six unique guests, a butler, and a maid assemble for a dinner party at the home of Mr. Boddy. When their host turns up dead, it is clear that no one is safe! Soon the guests are racing to find the killer and keep the body count from stacking up. All tickets will be General Admission and sold at the door. Students/Senior Citizens are $5.00, and Adults are $10.00.
