Semester 2 Course Change Requests: The semester 2 course change request form is available outside of the counseling office. The form will be available through today. If you have a semester 2, marking period 3, or marking period 4 course that you would like to add or remove, now is the only opportunity to make this request. Please understand that your request is only a request and will depend on space and availability. Today is the final day to make this request!
Interested in an Internship, Work Experience or the HCEP program for 2026-27 school year – January 22nd Meeting: There will be a MANDATORY meeting for Sophomores and Juniors students interested in applying for an Internship, Work Experience or the HCEP program for the FALL and/or SPRING 2026-27 school year. Meetings will be during the lunches on Thursday, January 22nd Eat your lunch first and then come to the Library. 6th pd lunch – 11:00AM, 7th period lunch – 11:45AM and 8th period lunch – 12:35PM. There will also be a meeting on Monday, January 26th if you are unavailable on Thursday. You must attend one of the sessions to obtain the application for the 1st step in the application process for all school to career type programming. Applications will NOT be accepted from students that DO NOT attend one of these meetings. HCYA: The Hershey Community Youth Alliance is once again facilitating a Student Exchange between students at Hershey High School and Milton Hershey School. The Student Exchange will be held on January 26th and January 27th. One day you will be going to MHS to follow a Milton Hershey Student’s Schedule, and the other day you will be hosting a Milton Hershey Student through your schedule. If you would like to attend the exchange, see Mrs. Ogle in Room 246 to receive a permission slip. This is open to ALL STUDENTS in grades 9-12 at Hershey High School. The first 40 students to return the permission slip will be attending. All others will be placed on a wait list.
Senior Yearbook Portrait Selection: Senior yearbook selections are due January 16th. If you are unsure how to select your portrait, please contact Ms. Breiner.
Swatara Police Academy Opportunity: Every other year the Swatara Township Police Department hosts a Citizens Academy for anyone at least 16 yrs or older. The next Academy will be held every Monday night from 6:00-8:00PM starting February 9 through April 13. The applications are due by January 19th. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Cpl Brandon Pokrop: bpokrop@swatarapolice.org.

Newborns in Need: Newborns in Need will be meeting on Wednesday, January 21st both before and after school in Mrs. MacNicol's room, F124, to discuss our winter clothing drive to be distributed to a local women's shelter. Dance Club: We’re excited to announce that the Dance Team Club is officially starting! We are a club/team focused on creating a healthy, positive environment where everyone is welcome. Our goal is to work together to create dances while giving every member the chance to be creative and express themselves. We will be holding tryouts TODAY, January 14th at 3:00PM in the LGI. We can’t wait to see you and start dancing together!
Young Democrats: We will be having a meeting today after school in room E115. We’ll be discussing and planning a possible field trip to Harrisburg for a Capitol Day. If you are interested, stop by as we will be discussing details, answering any questions, and planning what this trip may look like.

Chem Club: There will be a meeting today after school in room E219 for the ACS Chemistry club. Please plan to attend so that we can make plans for future meetings.

Current Juniors: If you are interested in applying for HCEP (Healthcare Career Exploration Program) Internship at the Hospital for your senior fall semester next school year, the medical center portion of the application is OPEN! The deadline to complete their application is January 30th. Check your school email or the Flyer posted outside the counseling office on bulletin board for detailed instructions. You must also attend our high school internship programs meeting for next year on January 22nd in the Library during Lunches in addition to their application. See Ms. Smith in the Library or email vsmith@hershey.k12.pa.us with any questions.

Yearbook staff and advisors reserve the right to clarify quotes or exclude inappropriate quotes from print. The due date is January 9th.
