GSA: Hershey High School’s Gay/Straight Alliance (GSA) will meet this Wednesday, February 28th, in Mr. Fornataro’s Room E220, from 2:45-3:30PM.  We will discuss our yearbook photo and register for our annual field trip to the Summit! Please attend if you can, or connect with Mrs. Reinert or Mr. Fornataro if you can’t make it. New members are always welcome!

Career Center Field Trip Opportunity: If you’re interested in careers within the DCNR, DEP or Agriculture join us on Thursday, March 7th for a field trip to learn engage in “round robin” sessions with experts in the careers available in forestry, emergency response, nuclear safety, PA Vet lab, land recycling, watershed restoration and environmental conservation areas. Stop by the Career Center in the library for a permission slip and to fill out the QR code. Deadline to sign up is February 27th.

Youth & Government: Until March 1st, we will be collecting food for the Hershey Food Bank outside of E117 (Mr. Boggess’ room). Any donations of unexpired packaged/canned food, cleaning products, or paper products are greatly appreciated. We are happy to verify donations for service hours depending on the amount.

Hershey Track and Field:  Hershey Track and Field Distance Medley Relay who finished 4th at the Indoor State Championships on Sunday, held at Penn State University. The boys ran a NEW school record by 6 seconds and the overall performance has earned a #11 USA ranking. Way to go guys!

Chess Club: The Chess Club will be meeting after school on Wednesday, February 28th in Room E216.  New members are always welcome!

Internship/Work Experience/HCEP (school) Applications for 2024-25:  All Applications for next school year are due by Thursday, February 29th!! Please make sure to submit your applications by the deadline. See Ms. Smith or Ms. Rosensteel with any questions.

Seniors: The Senior Scholarship Application will close on March 1st! To complete the application, please create an account on www.goingmerry.com. See Mrs. Gergenti in the counseling office with any questions.

Junior/Senior Trip: There are still seats available for any Juniors OR Seniors who wish to attend the trip to Washington, D.C. on March 7th. Please see Mrs. Ives for more information! 


Softball:  The Softball program is looking for 9th and 10th graders interested in playing this season. All experience levels and new players are welcome! Please scan the QR code found on the Softball flyers posted around the building, or talk to a current softball player. If you have any questions you can ask Coach Bitner or email Coach Zitko. Go Trojans!

11th Grade Students: If you have an 11th grade physical or 11th grade permission form in your backpack, please remember to submit it in the nurse’s office 🙂

Krypton Cougars:  The Krypton Cougars will be hosting an Open House this Sunday, February 25th from 1:00-3:00 PM. Come by our build site at 30 E Granada Avenue in Hershey to meet our 2024 robot, Rhapsody, learn about our organization, and how we are preparing for our upcoming robotics competitions in March.

10th & 11th Grade Students: If you are requesting to exceed the 8 credit maximum for the 2024-25 school year, you must contact your school counselor to set up a meeting to discuss this request. The deadline for this request is February 26th. Only current 10th & 11th grade students are eligible. 
 

Racial and Religious Relations (R.R.R.) Club:  R.R.R. Club is hosting a Black History Month meeting TODAY, February 22nd after school in room G141 from 2:45 to 3:30PM. New members are always welcome so bring your friends along! Remind code: @rrr232 
 

Krypton Cougars: The Krypton Cougars will be hosting an Open House this Sunday, February 25th from 1:00-3:00PM. NHS: Are you a current sophomore or junior interested in applying to the National Honor Society? The last two Informational meetings regarding the application process are being held today and tomorrow. WiSTEM: The Women in STEM club will be hosting a speaker today in room E219 from 2:45 to 3:30PM. Dr. Shilpi Paul, PhD, MSc, is an assistant professor at the Department of Neural and Behavioral Sciences at the Penn State Neuroscience Institute. Join us to hear about her personal career path, experiences as a woman in STEM, and her research.
