GSA: The first meeting of our Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) will be held tomorrow, September 9th, after school in Mrs. Reinert’s room, A021. GSA is a club that provides a safe, supportive space for LGBTQ+ students and allies to connect, share, and promote inclusion in our school community. Whether you’re a returning member or brand new, everyone is welcome!

ACE Mentor Program: Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors interested in careers in Architecture, Construction Management or Engineering (ACE): The ACE mentor program of Central PA is now accepting applications. This is a community program. It is typically held in-person (at Training Center at Hersheypark and local businesses) on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 - 7:00PM from October to March. Obtain information and apply online www.acementor.org See poster outside counseling office or Ms. V. Smith in the Library for additional details (email vsmith@hershey.k12.pa.us).

Model UN: Join us on Monday, September 14th for Model United Nation’s annual first meeting: Cake versus Pie debate! This club is great for anyone interested in problem-solving, collaborating, debating, public policy, and learning how to better the world and the many countries within it. Meetings are Mondays after school in Sr. Frank’s room, F137. Stay connected by joining our Remind group with the code: @hhsmun27

Science Olympiad: There will be an important informational meeting on Thursday, September 10th at 2:40PM in Mr. Ambler’s room, D211, for any students that are interested in being part of this year's HHS Science Olympiad team. We hope to see you there!

Matthew 28:19: Matthew 28:19 is having our first meeting before school this Friday, September 11th, starting at 7:10AM. We’ll be meeting in Señora MacNicol’s room, F124, for some fellowship, prayer, and donuts as we discuss our plans for the year. Everyone is welcome!

Academic Decathlon: Academic Decathlon will host an after-school study session after school on Wednesday, September 9th in Mr. Dietz’s room, G146. This week, we’ll be reviewing our music curriculum. It’s still a great time for new members to join for the season! Stop by for Goldfish and great tunes!

Nexus: Nexus, Hershey High School’s literary and visual arts club, will host its first meeting after school on Thursday, September 10th in Mrs. Spahr’s room, 013. If you have an affinity for the arts or just like to be around artistic people, this is the club for you!

Junior Class: The Junior Class is hosting a fundraiser at Chipotle this Saturday, September 12th from 4:00-8:00PM. Please come out and support the class of 2028 as we work to raise money for our class trip!

Chess Club: The Chess Club will be holding its first meeting of the year after school today in Room E216. We hope to see you there!

American Chemical Society Club: Do you have a passion for chemistry? If so, consider joining the newly formed American Chemical Society Club by joining our Remind @acsclub. Our first meeting will be on Tuesday of next week in room E219 immediately after school where we will discuss a name for the club and discuss officer elections.

Global Health Outreach: Global Health Outreach is holding its first meeting on Friday, September 11th in the library after school! This club is a great way to learn about health both in our community and around the world. Whether you're interested in medicine, or just want to make a difference, come join us for cookies, collaboration, and to take action!

HHS Theatre: Fall Play Auditions will be held Tuesday, September 15th, beginning at 3:00PM in the HHS Auditorium. All students interested in auditioning for a role in this year's play, Queens, should pick an audition packet outside of Mrs. O'Brien's room, E119, and return the application by Friday, September 11th at the end of the day. Be sure to also use the QR code or the link to sign up for an audition time slot.
     More interested in working behind-the-scenes? A separate code is also up outside of Mrs. O'Brien's room to sign up for all sorts of crews! Not sure of what crew you want to serve on? Listen for announcements for a meeting where we will explain the different crews, their level of commitment, and how you can even be on more than one. Questions? See Mrs. O'Brien in room E119!

College Representative Visits: College Rep visits are starting next week! Admissions counselors from a variety of schools have signed up to visit HHS in the Counseling Office. If you are an 11th or 12th grade student that is interested in meeting with a college, please sign up at least 2 days ahead of time through Naviance. Below are the colleges that will be visiting next week. Once you sign up, it is your responsibility to report to the Counseling Office at your scheduled time. You may stop by to see Mrs. Malik for a pass ahead of time.

National Honor Society: We will hold our first NHS meeting of the year in the LGI tomorrow, September 9th at 2:40PM and Thursday, September 10th at 7:10AM. As a reminder, students only need to attend one of the two meetings. Please see Mrs. Nester in G142 if you have any questions.

Study Abroad: Have you ever considered studying abroad in high school? The Rotary Club of Hershey offers a Youth Exchange program and helps to cover some of the cost to bring this opportunity to you! If you’d like to learn more about this experience, there is an informational Zoom meeting today. You can get more details from Sr. Frank’s room, F137.

Youth & Government: The first meeting for the Youth & Government Club is tonight from 6-7:30PM in the High School Library! Come enjoy some ice cream, meet some new people, and learn about the club. New members can join the remind @hhsyagnew

Homecoming: Seniors, remember to make your nominations for the Homecoming ballot! Check your Remind for the link to access the ballot.

HHS Key Club: Key Club is meeting today at 2:40PM in Mrs. Blosky’s room, D202. Please plan to attend the meeting to receive information about registration, dues and upcoming service opportunities. Our regular monthly meetings will be the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. Hope to see you there!

Hershey Community Youth Alliance: The Hershey Community Youth Alliance works with students from Milton Hershey to create awareness about each other's schools through a day-long school exchange program. We also hope to incorporate community fundraising events into the program this year. If you are interested in being a part of this club, please scan the QR code or click on this link. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Ogle in Room G246 or Mr. Mackneer in Room F235.
